It tries so hard, and… well, no it doesn’t.
I like MOUSE a lot. It’s the character I think of when I talk back to the TV. I think of MOUSE when I’m forced to sit through commercials when I call tech support. It puts up with so much, and can do so little.
MOUSE is the AI system aboard CK’s ship. Its function is to control ships systems and act as a sort of direct interface. This is assisted with the use of a mobile robot unit in the shape of a small gold mouse. (clever, eh?)
In case of accidental (or deliberate) destruction, another MOUSE unit is automatically replicated. Multiple MOUSE units can be activated when needed, though I can’t imagine why you’d want to do that.
To facilitate a smooth interaction with the ships commanding officer, each MOUSE unit is enabled with on-board Vocodeo™ software which lets you communicate naturally with your little robot friend.
The MOUSE OS is programmed in powerful, adaptable Actionscript 3000™. With a minimum of effort*, you too can create subroutines and adjust your little robot friend as it suits your purposes.
Be sure to use genuine MOUSE software when upgrading or adding on to your MOUSE’s OS. The use of pirated software can damage your system’s efficiency, and may make communicating with it problematic.
